KLKC Sports
We love local Sports
Parsons Media Group was created to keep local radio on the air in Parsons and the surrounding area. We love local sports, and realize the importance of high school sports to this community. KLKC radio has aired Parsons High School football and basketball for nearly 50 years, a tradition we take very seriously.
In 2016, the year after we acquired KLKC, we began to air Labette County High School games at 1540 AM. In 2018 we added an FM translator to 1540 AM, giving us a 24/7 FM signal simulcast of 1540 on 106.7 FM.
While we began an audio internet stream of both stations 24/7/265 soon after taking over the stations in 2015, we began doing video Livestream of both Parsons and Labette County High School games in January 2017.
Scott Marlow along with Tony Fuentez bring us Parsons Viking coverage, while Drew Fuentez runs the LiveStream which airs on our website, Youtube Page, our 93.5 Facebook page, the PHS Facebook page and our 93.5 Twitter Page.
Jack Leak, Jr brings us Labette County Grizzly coverage, with Isabell Redford doing both color commentary and the video livestream.
Joe Stringer is the Technical Director for Parsons Media Group and Coordinates all Livestream projects and graphic design.
